Sony is a multi-national corporation; it is beholden to its stock-holders, not some grand scheme of gaming benvolence. It is not the Mother Theresa of tech companies and it is as soulless as M$ is.
The reason is obvious. Microsoft's attentions have been diverted elsewhere. In part they are focusing on the further mass commercialition of their products; they are attempting to corral the less-than hardcore masses through the kinect, social media tie-ins, etc.
The other reason for the lack of 360 games...the 720, their next generation behemoth is just around the corner and is consuming massive amounts of resources so that when it makes its appearance it is fully armed ...
The PS3 t may have hit its stride but it also hit too many hurdles early in a race that is now over. Quite the show animal the PS3 but its been limping along for quite some time now.
